Web Changes
This is where we'll announce the most recent additions to our web site. If you've visited us before and want to know what's changed, take a look here first. 20/01/03 In light of recent investigations into substandard conversions, the LPG Association have now released, for use only by APPROVED INSTALLERS the new official certification required by insurers. This new certificate / Document can not be duplicated by unscrupulous garages / converters. Upon completion of the conversion an Approved installer can issue the Official certificate to the consumer.
20/01/03 Moving forward:- Envirogas has now included the latest Sequential Multi-point Gas injected systems into its Family of approved conversions. Designed for newer vehicles and those fitted with plastic inlet manifolds, these systems operate in a similar way to current petrol injection systems and offer greater performance and economy results than the traditional Single point venturi systems. Sequential injection installations start at around £1300 +vat. Upgrades from single point to Sequential Multi-point can be carried out from £ 900.00+vat. ( Depening upon the vehicle). 27/06/01 Addition to FAQ's
28/02/01 Insurance companies give backing to LPG. Eleven of the UK's biggest insurance companies have stated they would conditionally insure a LPG powered vehicle with no additional insurance premium.
The findings are from an autogas insurance survey which had been undertaken with the participation of the Association of British Insurers (ABI). The conditions were that the vehicle was an OEM produced vehicle or one that had been approved by an LPGA approved installer (EnviroGas).
However, if a non-approved installer had undertaken the conversion work, or the owner had done it themselves, six companies would have regarded the risk as unacceptable and would have refused insurance. Five of the other companies would only have insured the vehicle on a case-by-case basis after an independent engineer had made checks. Even then a premium price for insurance could be imposed.

02/10/00 Considerable improvements in emissions from LP gas powered vehicles have taken place in recent years when using the latest technology equipment. Recent tests have shown the following advantages for LP gas.

Department of Health statistics suggest that particulates are responsible for several thousand advanced deaths each year and many thousands of instances of illness and reduced activity. Road transport is the largest single source for particulates and LP Gas can reduce these emissions by 90%, compared to diesel.
The other pollutant highlighted by the Government NAQS report as causing significant problems and requiring further measures to meet the set targets is Oxides of Nitrogen. As shown above, substantial reductions on Oxides of Nitrogen emissions can be made using LP Gas. Although the UK has one of the highest concentrations of vehicles per mile of road in the world, it is amongst the lowest in using LP Gas-powered vehicles. other countries have recognised it's environmental advantages and encouraged it's development with over 4 million vehicles now in operation worldwide. In the UK we currently have around 22000 vehicles running on LP Gas but with suitable fiscal incentives from the Government it is forecast that this number will increase substantially over the next few years.
12/09/00 United Kingdom coming to a stand still. Most major oil refinery's have been targeted by protesters angry at the governments excessive levels of tax on UK fuel price's. This has caused the majority of petrol stations to run out of fuel altogether. LPG pumps are affected slightly due to fact the tankers have to come from the same refineries that are being targeted.
05/07/00 As seen on TV. EnviroGas are featured on BBC news. The BBC reported on how consumers and business are becoming more and more outraged at the extortionate prices of petrol in the UK. EnviroGas was shown to be one of the few companies to offer Autogas/LPG conversions that allow consumers to more than half their fuel costs.
